ALL-ROUNDER Tom Newton has won a call-up for tomorrow's encounter at Hanhams (1.30pm).
The Weymouth youngster has been in good form for the club's second-team and skipper Dean Janaway is confident he can have a big impact in the Dorset Funeral Plan Premier League.
Janaway said: "Once again there are several unavailabilities throughout the club this week, which makes selection difficult.
"It will also be difficult when they are all available but from last week's team, Cube Whyte and Dave Pearce will return while Simon Browne, Ben Lawes and James Ladd-Gibbon are all unable to play.
"That is why we have decided to call up Tom from the seconds. We have got to get a bit more bowling in the side and he is a bowling all-rounder who has been doing very well.
"I think the fact that we can call on players of his quality just goes to prove the strength in depth we have got at the club."
The Seasiders picked up an impressive 31-run win at Suttoners last Saturday and they will no doubt be hoping for a repeat performance at Wimborne, who currently lie four places below them in seventh spot.
However, the Hanhams outfit must not be under-estimated. Janaway added: "Last weekend's win was a fantastic effort from the lads and we want to carry that on.
"We have struggled to get over 200 in the last couple of games but I have a lot of confidence in the line-up we have and I am sure it is going to click soon.
"If that happens and we continue battling hard in the field then we are going to be a very difficult side to beat but Wimborne are no pushovers either.
"Last year Paul Payne had a great day at their place scoring 80-odd and taking three wickets in a good win for us but it is always a tough game there.
"They have a good solid all-round team and they have played in this league for a very long time. Also, if you look at the table, everyone has at least one loss to their name already, which proves it is going to be very tight this year with everyone beating everyone."
Weymouth: Ryall, Janaway, Payne, Bray, England, D Pearce, Newton, Nobbs, Trotter, C Whyte, M Pearce.
