BRIDPORT RFC's Memorial Day was an unmitigated success and welcomed a record number of sponsors.
It has been a successful season both on and off the pitch for the Blues, and the event was an opportunity for the club to say thank you to its players and everyone who had put in so much effort during the year.
Three matches took place, starting with veterans, then the colts and lastly an intra-club match between the president's XV and the chairman's XV.
The rugby was followed by a sponsorship draw, which was won by Nantes Solicitors, of Bridport, who will be next season's premier sponsor.
With 124 benefactors now affiliated to the club, it has been a record year and surpasses last season by eight sponsors.
Bridport RFC president David Williams said: "Great fun was had by all and a lot of people turned up to watch the rugby and take part in the other activities.
"We had a bouncy castle, a barbecue and I'd like to say thank you especially to Wayne Munroe, who organised the day."
The club also donated £1,000 to St John Ambulance and the Air Ambulance for their sterling work.
