MORE than 60 boys attended the Weymouth FC Academy trials held at the Wessex Stadium.
Terras' assistant-manager Alan Lewer, chief executive Gary Calder and midfielder Marcus Browning attended and assisted in picking out a squad which consisted of a mixture of local talent and players from further afield.
The biggest problem the club now faces is accommodating players from London so they can play for the academy and under-18s as well as attend Weymouth College for their studies.
Community development officer Tim Davis said: "As a club we would like to give chances to Shola Dadson, Josh Smith, Emmanuel Cole-Williams and Bostry Bansande but to do that we need people to take on the burden of almost fostering these kids and ensuring their welfare is looked after.
"The other thing is because they all come from inner city deprived areas they obviously are short of the finances required to find excessive rent. If anybody can help then please contact the club on 01305 785558 as soon as possible."
