ALL-ROUNDER Simon Browne will make his first-team debut for Weymouth tomorrow at Blandford in the Dorset Funeral Plan Premier Division (1.30pm).
The former Portland Red Triangle player will be joined in the side by Dave Pearce, who is back available after recovering from an ankle injury.
However, the Seasiders will have to wait at least another week before New Zealander Andrew Falloon arrives on these shores. The all-rounder is still waiting for his visa.
Weymouth captain Dean Janaway said: "Andrew is just as frustrated as we are about the situation but it is just one of those things.
"He has actually finished his job and was told his visa would be with him by Wednesday but it has still not arrived. All being well he will be able to fly over next week."
Janaway's side started their campaign with an impressive 134-run win over Wayfarers at Redlands last Saturday and the delighted skipper is hoping that form can continue.
He added: "Last week was potentially a tricky game particularly when we lost the toss but we managed to post a good score and then bowl and field really well which was very pleasing. Hopefully we will now be able to go into tomorrow and do more of the same.
"We have made two changes to the line up. Dave is back from injury and will come in for Tom Steadman, who is unavailable, while Simon will replace Michael Pearce, who has work commitments.
"Simon is an excellent all-rounder and a real winner, and it is great to have someone like him to bring in."
Blandford suffered a nine-wicket defeat against a rampant Dorchester side last week. Janaway said: "That result possibly says more about Dorchester than it does about Blandford because they are a decent side with a couple of good players.
"On his day Sunil Sawney can score big runs and take a few wickets so we will have to get to grips with him but most importantly we have to concentrate on our own cricket and ensure we do all the things we did well last week. If we do that then we should come away with a good result."
Weymouth: Janaway, Ryall, Payne, Bray, England, D Pearce, Doidge, Nobbs, Browne, Whyte, Trotter.
* Weymouth Seconds host Sherborne at Redlands in Division One tomorrow (2pm).
Steve Budd's men put up a decent fight last week at Shroton but ended up falling to a 39-run defeat.
The skipper is now hoping for a more positive outcome this weekend.
Weymouth: Fulton, Armfield, McKay, Wilsdon, Newton, J Trevitt, Budd, Walton, Womble, Crocker, Hutchens.
