DORSET representative Bournemouth Bears claimed the King of the Mountain title after a hard-fought tournament at Budmouth Community Sports Centre.
Bournemouth Bears and Torbay Tigers gave the spectators a final to remember, with the scores locked at 57-57 going into the final minute.
Six points were scored in the final 60 seconds and they all went to the Bears as the Dorset side won 63-57 on home soil.
Liam Wyatt, Bears coach, said: “The day featured dozens of players from the surrounding counties who we were really keen to match up against.

"Though we had a couple of close games, I was so pleased to see our lads go out and show what Dorset can do when tested.”
Budmouth hosted four of the top basketball teams from neighbouring associations this weekend, all convening for a packed day of action that would see the Division One winners from Dorset, Somerset, Solent and Exeter all complete for the trophy.
Teams spent the day locked in competitive games that featured former England players and former National League standouts.

Among the highlights of the day was a huge dunk from Hamble Hornets as the ball seemingly went too far back to control, but was majestically caught mid-air and thrown down to the eruption of all in attendance.
