DORCHESTER Town manager Glenn Howes signalled his intention for the Magpies to come out on the “front foot” against Plymouth Parkway tonight (7.45pm).
Howes’ men face the newly-promoted side after Saturday’s 4-0 defeat to Truro City and an opening-day 2-1 victory over North Leigh.
The Magpies will come up against former Dorchester players Callum Rose, Tom Bath and Ben Seymour in what promises to be a tasty clash between the sides.
Speaking after the Truro loss, Howes told Echosport: “We’ll see if we’ve got any walking wounded and we’ve got 48 hours to turn it around.

“Sometimes you don’t need minutes on the training ground, you’re looking for home comforts.
“We need to see a reaction for the supporters, for taking a heavy defeat. There will be no-one hiding.
“We’ll come out on the front foot ready, that’s for sure.”
Dorchester could register a second win from three games and Howes is keen to seize that statistic.
“If you can bounce back, the previous game can be forgotten and you’re almost forgiven,” he said.
“There were some unusual results in amongst the league and that’s going to be a common trend, where all sorts of teams are going to take all sorts of points off each other.
“Gathering that consistency of a string of results is going to be extremely difficult for any team, let alone for Dorchester, but we can look forward to being at home.”
Assessing his side’s attacking performance after drawing a blank at Truro, Howes said: “First half we didn’t create an awful lot, we had one or two half-chances.
“Second half we certainly threatened their goal more and were perhaps a little bit more expansive which allowed us to create more chances.
“We are where we are in terms of our journey. Truro are definitely further on in their project than us.
“There’s seven or eight of their lads that were there last year when we played them twice. We had eight or nine debutants last week.
“They’ve created those bonds, that cohesion in terms of the way of playing.
“We’re going to take some defeats on the road, however, it’s how we react to these defeats.”
Brad Snelling (head) will be assessed, while centre-back Keith Emmerson is yet to make his first appearance of the season.
