DORCHESTER Town midfielder Jordan Ngalo will get “stronger and stronger” for the Magpies this season, according to boss Glenn Howes.
Ngalo played the full 90 minutes of Dorchester’s 2-1 win over North Leigh on the opening day of the Pitching In Southern League Premier South.
And the former Aldershot and Weymouth man impressed Howes with his performance given a relative lack of football for the 23-year-old of late.
Speaking to Dorchester’s media team, Howes said: “You saw all the good bits in Jord’s game out there.

“The lad hasn’t played too much football so you can’t expect too much too soon.
“It was a hot day out there and he did look leggy after 60, 70 minutes. That was key and pivotal in our play.
“We couldn’t get him on the ball as much as we would like in the second half but we know all about Jordan Ngalo, he’s just going to get stronger and stronger for us.”
Joining Ngalo as a debutant was loanee Torquay midfielder Alex Moyse, who was introduced as a replacement for Shaq Gwengwe in the final 16 minutes.
Howes said: “I think the substitutions impacted the game really well.
“They didn’t necessarily change too much but what they did do was provide a huge amount of energy, tenacity and willingness to go and press the ball.
“I thought Moysey did that incredibly well.
"Him and Griggsy (Ollie Griggs) were extremely disciplined the way he stayed in, held together, screened those areas and won the ball back in terms of second balls that we perhaps weren’t winning as much as we’d have liked in the middle of the park.
“He’s full of energy, he passes well, he broke the line a couple of times and he’s been injured as well.
“He’s been out a little while, he hasn’t had a huge amount of minutes either so we were really pleased with Moysey.”
Dorchester Town visit Truro City in league action on Saturday (3pm).
