WEYMOUTH legends Jason Matthews and Ben Thomson have switched to Salisbury.
Matthews, 47, re-joined Weymouth in October 2021 as replacement for Robbie Yates, who followed Mark Molesley to Aldershot Town.
It means former Terras player and boss Matthews, who played 326 times for the club, has spent just eight months in his role at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
Thomson, meanwhile, announced his exit on Monday after 255 games, 66 goals and 47 assists for the Terras in a seven-year spell.
Matthews helped new boss David Oldfield in an assistant role before the appointment of Tom Donati.
Weymouth also drafted in Les Cleevely for a portion of the season while Matthews went on holiday.
Matthews links up with current Salisbury manager and ex-Terras boss Steve Claridge, under whom Matthews played throughout the 2003 and 2004 seasons.
Matthews' move also heralds a return to the Raymond McEnhill Stadium, where he played in the 1998/99 season - including reaching the first round of the FA Cup.

Matthews, who also played for Exeter, Eastleigh, Bath and Dorchester in a respected playing career, told Salisbury's official website of his hopes for a "successful season".
He said: "I’m very much looking forward to joining up at Salisbury, one of my former clubs to which I have very fond memories of playing at the Ray Mac, including getting to the first round of the FA Cup against Hull City.
"It will also be good to link up with my former gaffer, Steve.
"Hopefully, we can have a successful season."
Thomson added: "I can’t wait to get going at Salisbury Football Club and meet all the lads and the fans, a fresh challenge ahead for us all and one which I’m sure will be a very positive and successful one.
"See you all at the Ray Mac soon!"
Matthews and Thomson are the latest figures to exit Weymouth this summer.
Of the players remaining, Tom Bearwish, Tom Blair and Ahkeem Rose are contracted for next season but there remain doubts over fellow contractees Sean Shields and Omar Mussa.
