PORTLAND United have secured the double signing of influential pair Ryan McKechnie and Ben Morris for the 2022/23 Wessex League Premier Division season.
McKechnie, who skippered the Blues last season, top scored with 11 goals in 33 appearances.
He was also jointly awarded Portland’s players’ player of the season, along with Josh Williams.
Morris came second in the goalscoring charts for Portland last season with ten from 37 games.

The Portland vice-captain was named fans’ player of the season for his efforts.
The duo join Alfie Toland and Matt Harvey in signing for the Blues so far this summer.
Speaking to Echosport, boss Franklyn Clarke said of McKechnie: “Having your captain and vice-captain re-sign is big for us.
“They’re a massive part of the group, so I’m really happy.”
On McKechnie, he added: “Macca was our top goalscorer and players’ player. He’s a leader and a massive part of what me and Sam (Poole assistant) are doing.
“We keep Macca close to us, discuss things with him and keep him in the loop with our thinking.
“It was very important that we get Macca and I’m very happy.
“On the pitch, he’s brave, always wants the football. He starts attacks off and can play out of position as well, so he’s a real all-rounder.
“I’ve played at a lot of non-league clubs and Ryan’s right up there with the best midfielders I’ve played with. I can’t speak highly enough of him.”
Clarke was similarly pleased with securing the services of Morris.
He said: “He won fans’ player of the season, so the fans certainly enjoyed watching him play.
“His form was a bit up and down but when he was up, he was fantastic. At Fareham away he absolutely ran the show the whole game.
“We’re lucky to have him because he’s got the ability to win the game. He’s got that moment of magic in him. He’s a vital part of the team.”
