WEST Dorset Swimming Club stars Lauren McRobbie and Harry Stewart have earned valuable experience in the Swim England National Winter Championships.
McRobbie, 18, and Stewart, 17, qualified for seven disciplines between them, regularly placing in the top 20.
The championships, held in Sheffield, see the fastest swimmers from across the country compete over four days of highly competitive swimming.
McRobbie competed in the 50m backstroke, 50m freestyle, 100m butterfly and 100m medley races.
Her exceptional swims placed her eighth for the backstroke, 14th in the butterfly and 15th in the individual medley.
Stewart had an equally successful championship, placing 11th and 17th for both the 50m and 100m breaststroke races. He also raced in the 100m medley.

As a result, he is now ranked 11th nationally for 50m breaststroke and also holds the Dorset county record at 29.20 seconds.
Both swimmers also were part of the West Dorset team competing in the Arena League Gala series. West Dorset won every gala in Division One this season and showed off the quality of the swimmers across the entire squad.
Elsewhere, the club have hosted two home galas this year enabling younger local swimmers to get back to racing.
There is an incredible amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to put on these events.
Coach Colin Cracknell, along with the club committee and volunteers have gone above and beyond to get the squad entire training and competing again and the results the swimmers are achieving are testament to that.
