WEYMOUTH Wildcats will entertain petrolheads at the upcoming Chard Carnival.
Wildcats have competed just once on the track this year following a directive from speedway chiefs against nomadic teams.
However, the Weymouth squad led by co-promoters James Tresadern and Martin Peters will be one of the many floats at the carnival on Saturday, October 9.
Speaking to Echosport, Tresadern said: “We’re getting some speedway bikes on the back of a truck, a side cart and a couple of grass track bikes.
“We’re still trying to promote the sport and ourselves.
“I don’t think there’s been a lot of carnivals this year but Chard was one we’ve done before and we replied saying that we don’t mind doing it.

“They’ve got over 35 entries and there were quite a few people there when we first did it but the rain intervened and everybody disappeared, but it is well supported.”
Earlier in the season, Wildcats beat Isle of Wight Wizards 19-17 in a development standard meeting.
