DORCHESTER TOWN 4
Bayston 20, 62, Papakonstantinou 52, Burns 90
BUCKLAND ATHLETIC 1
Cooper 14
DORCHESTER Town remain unbeaten in pre-season after coming from behind to beat Buckland Athletic 4-1 at the Avenue Stadium.
Nathan Cooper’s superb long-range effort put Western League side Buckland in front before Sam Bayston equalised soon afterwards.
Dorchester then stretched their legs after half-time when Christos Papakonstantinou, Bayston and Harry Burns all netted to complete a solid victory.
But while the scoreline was ultimately convincing, Dorchester were shaken early on by Cooper’s brilliance in the 14th minute.
Buckland’s number seven drilled a 25-yard rocket to leave Magpies’ goalkeeper Alan Walker-Harris with no chance.

Dorchester were level six minutes later as a clever pass from Tom Purrington released Bayston to finish past Andy Collings via the post.
The goal settled Dorchester down and Billy Lowes went close to a second, only to be denied by Collings.
Dorchester were unchanged after the break and took the lead in the 52nd minute when Greek winger Papakonstantinou beat Collings in a one-on-one.
Papakonstantinou was involved again as the Magpies notched their third, combining with Ash Wells to afford Bayston a gimmie for 3-1.
Dorchester made eight subs before grabbing their fourth in the 90th minute, Burns sliding home a finish after nimble footwork from the impressive Dylan Walker.
Dorchester’s Tuesday night game with Exeter City Under-23s has been cancelled, with the Magpies hopeful of organising a replacement fixture.
