DORCHESTER Town boss Robbie Herrera admitted he would rather keep busy over summer than recharge the batteries.
Much is made of footballers resting during the off-season but former QPR and Fulham left-back Herrera revealed his preference is to remain in touch with players and agents.
Herrera has however taken a break in Cornwall with family and last weekend celebrated his 51st birthday.
The Magpies begin the 2021/22 Southern Premier League South season on Saturday, August 14.
Commenting on busy summers during his football career, Herrera told Echosport: “I’ve had a few days away, I’ve turned my phone off for the majority.
“I had a few calls but I don’t mind it, I’ve always had it to be honest.
“It makes no odds to me.
“I’d rather be in contact than not with players, agents and what have you.
“I will get another break at some point but my mind will just be football right the way through.”
