BALTI Sports’ boss Marco Nott described his team’s 1-1 DPL Supplementary Cup draw with Westland Sports as a “blow”.
Nott’s men went ahead when Danny Andrews converted a second-half penalty, but former Dorchester Town striker Phil Ormrod popped up with a clinical strike in the 94th minute deny Balti victory.
The result means Balti must beat Westland on Saturday week – and hope leaders Ham Rec topple the Yeovil-based side – to qualify for the knockout stages.
Speaking to Echosport after the draw at Weymouth College, Nott said: “It was a blow to be honest.
“We’ve been playing some great stuff and that was a big test, Westland at home.
“I was really pleased, we stuck at it and played our football. We had to go a little more direct than normal because of personnel changes.
“We were outstanding yet again. The problem is when you play a top team and miss chances you do get punished – that happened."

He added: “In the overall reflection I’d probably say a draw was a fair result. They were pushing for the equaliser and got it right at the death.
“First half we played really well and created some good chances. How we didn’t go up in the first half, it ended up costing us.
“We were disappointed at the end but it was a good learning curve and I’d have probably taken a point at the start.
“But it was a big blow conceding because (the win) would’ve put us second with two games left.”
