WEYMOUTH RAIDERS 62
BRIDPORT EVOLUTION 81
BRIDPORT Evolution opened up the new season in the Dorset League with a fine victory over the Raiders.
It was the home side who started the game with a quick two points from the tip but Bridport stayed close to them trading baskets for the first four minutes.

at their own game but with sharp shooting by Eric
Robertshaw and James Rich, Bridport continued to keep a good lead going into half-time, 37-21.
Bridport came out wanting to win in the third quarter with high intensity offence and strong solid defence that the Raiders could not break.
Evolution’s player/coach Craig Sorrell led by example and driving through Weymouth’s defence with ease to get multiple baskets to keep the away team in front.
The quarter finished 59-36 to the visitors.
Bridport continued to stay strong with quick hands by Tom White on defence along with
experienced teamwork from Chris Canham, Robertshaw and Sorrell to secure a great first victory of the season for Evolution.
