NEWLY-FORMED Chickerell United Colts have been boosted by a new shirt sponsorship deal with MKM Building Supplies.
The Colts were formed this year under the Chickerell Youth set up to form a bridge into adult football.
The key aim is to develop young players and to inspire the up-and-coming crop of youth players into senior football.
The youngsters play alongside more experienced adults who support and encourage them.
Jon Worrall, branch director at MKM Chickerell, said: “It was a very easy decision for me and my co-director Neil Stroud, to make.
"With us as a new Chickerell business being asked to sponsor a new Chickerell football team, it just seemed a very obvious thing to do and also a great way to get involved in the local community.”
Team manager Darren Doyle said: “Our thanks go to Jon and Neil of MKM Building Supplies Chickerell who have kindly sponsored the team and provided them with the brand new kit.”
Following the presentation on Saturday, Chickerell went on to beat Portland Town Development Squad 2-0.
The team play in Division Four of the Dorset League and new players are welcome.
