A MIXTURE of novice and experienced Barebow, Compound, Longbow and Recurve archers from across the two Dorset and Wiltshire counties attended the 2019 Dorset & Wiltshire Archery Association’s Indoor Championships at Wincanton.
With separate sessions in both morning and afternoon, most archery clubs in the two counties affiliated to Archery GB had participating archers in the respective divisions.
Several archers from clubs including Supermarine Bowmen and Osprey Archers performed strongly at the event across the different categories having narrow margins to triumph.
The Judges were Mrs Gloria Mead and Mr Paul Burden, while the guest of honour was double-gold winner at the first World Archery Masters Championships Adam Strachan-Stephens.
Mark Pledger, county association chairman, said: “The Indoor County Championship is our flagship indoor event in the winter season.
“It’s great to see so many archers from our local clubs attending. Congratulations to them all.”
