WEYMOUTH Wildcats are getting there, says co-promoter Martin Peters, ahead of their rides at the weekend against Exeter and Kent in the Southern Development League.
The Wildcats are without Luke Barnes, who is injured, and Jordan Bull who is unavailable for the double-header.
Peters said: “I think every team needs at least one strong rider that you look at to score the majority of your points, most teams have got those. Ours is Luke (Barnes).
“The lads are still positive and want something but as long as they are developing and guys like Bailey and Jacob (Fellows) are getting quicker and getting faster, that is what they need to do so. We are getting there.”
Bailey Fellows and James Jessop will ride at both meetings. Today, the Wildcats, who take on the Falcons, have Connor Fletcher but their last rider is to be confirmed.
Tomorrow, will see Jacob Fellows return and Martyn Smith will again ride as the Cats face the Kestrels.
