WEYMOUTH Cougars held their annual presentation and handed out prizes to celebrate a successful year.
The event took place at the Marsh and as well as the awards ceremony games were organised and everyone enjoyed some end of season fun.
Andy Harris, the club Chairman, spoke of another successful year both on and off the pitch and the number of members of the club continues to increase year on year and, thanks to the hard work and commitment of all those involved, Cougars remains one of the largest clubs in the area.
He thanked the players and the parents for their commitment to their teams and congratulated all those prize winners but was keen to point out that football was a team game and all have a share in those awards.
Special mention was made of this year’s winner of the John Clarke Memorial Trophy, Jack Anderson.
Anderson plays and also helps with the coaching of the Mini Kickers and assists with the setting up of the pitches, as well as becoming a very respected referee, and has won awards.
