WILDCATS’ co-promoter James Tresadern praised his side for not letting their heads drop despite a difficult season as they prepare to host Reading in the Southern Development League tonight.
Weymouth have been based at Eastbourne and have yet to secure a league win so far this season.
Tresadern said: “Confidence is good.
“The guys knew it would be a tough year but have not let their heads drop.
“The guys are up for this meeting. The weekend did not go anywhere near as what we thought.”
The team face a Reading side that have won their only league meeting so far this season.
Weymouth have three defeats, including a 23-13 loss last weekend to a Kent side containing National League reserve riders Jacob Clouting and Alex Spooner.
The Wildcats have been frustrated with injuries to Jordan Bull and Luke Barnes but the latter has recovered.
“Injuries have not helped but it has not had an impact within the squad. They are all still hungry and want to do their best for us and each other.
“Hopefully we will push Reading and keep the scores close and maybe sneak a victory.”
The Wildcats will boast the return of Barnes, alongside Max Pankhurst who stepped in to help last week, as well as James Jessop and Jacob Fellows.
