JURASSIC Coast Girls FC have announced a new sponsorship deal with Zumba Heat’s Lou Sams for a new kit for their latest team, the under-7s.
Sams attended a recent training session to present the kit and also treated the girls to a mini-zumba session too.
Club chairman Nathan Wood said: “Without the support of local businesses like Lou’s we would not be able to sustain the incredible growth experiences in dedicated girls’ football in the area.
“This kind of support allows our club to deliver the safe and appropriate, child friendly environment for young girls to enjoy, learn and develop their football skills.
“Everyone associated with JCGFC would like to thank Lou Sams for her continued support, we think the new personalised Hummel kit, complete with Lou’s Zumba slogans, Yeovil Town Ladies WSL Official Sister Club, FA Respect and Charter Standard Club logos, looks fantastic and was enthusiastically received by the girls and parents who thoroughly enjoyed their first taste of zumba too.”
Sams said:”I’m incredibly honoured to be able to sponsor JCGFC under-7s.
“They were incredible fun, with a great spirit and picked up the Zumba moves brilliantly with plenty of whoop-whoops.
“I think they all look fantastic in their really cool new kit, I can’t wait to see them play in a game soon.”
As part of her sponsorship, Sams will be leading the warm-up at the Jurassic Coast Girls Football Festival, the region’s largest dedicated girls’ football tournament, which is held at the club’s base at 3D Health & Fitness Wey Valley School on Saturday, June 16.
Jurassic Coast currently have three age groups; the under-7s, the under-9s and the under-11s.
The under-7s train on Friday evening (5-6pm) alongside a fortnightly girls’ goalkeeping coaching and on Monday evenings its the turn of the under-9s from 5-6pm and the under-11s from 6-7pm.
