MIDFIELDER Dean Evans was left feeling appreciated after picking up the website player of the year award sharing it with his team-mate Calvin Brooks.
The prize is decided by the Terras’ fanbase and Evans was happy to receive the recognition.
He told Echosport: “I am delighted to win the award, it means a lot. Calvin and I have both had good seasons so it’s great to know you’re appreciated.”
Evans played 47 times for the Terras last season and hailed the unwavering support from Weymouth’s faithful.
“In my opinion they’re the best in the league by far, for me it’s a proper club.
“It’s a joy to play in front of the fans.”
The popular Evans is hoping to stay on at the club next season but won’t be resting on his laurels this summer as he is in training to run the Yeovil marathon in June.
He added: “I’m hoping to do it in around three hours.
“It’s a goal to work towards and it will keep me fit.”
