WEYMOUTH boss Jason Tindall has started negotiations with several of his players and is hoping to announce some positive news soon.

The Blue Square Premier club's future is still waiting to be resolved but a minimum budget has been set and the 29-year-old will continue talks next week.

Tindall said: "I have started negotiations with some of the players and I will be working down the list from now and all through next week.

"I spoke to a couple yesterday and hopefully we will have some positive news soon. A minimum budget has been set and if everyone can buy into it and realise where we are trying to go it would be great for the football club in general.

"One of the players I have already spoke to is Stuart Beavon and he seemed very positive about what I had to say."

Coca-Cola League One side Yeovil Town released seven players yesterday including Anthony Tonkin, who at one time was a target of ex-Terras' boss Garry Hill, and Andy Lindegaard, Bradley Thomas and Daniel Webb, who have all played for Weymouth before.

When asked whether he was interested in any of Town's former stars, Tindall said: "My first priority is to sort my own players out. After that I will talk to one or two others."
