WEYMOUTH have added to their defensive options with the signing of defender Calvin Brooks on an initial one-month loan from Yeovil Town.
The former Dorchester Town man, who has previously played with Terras’ boss Jason Matthews at the Avenue, will go straight into tomorrow’s match day squad having received clearance from the Glovers to play in the FA Cup.
The Terras have been able to get the necessary paperwork through in time to register him for the clash with the Robins.
Matthews told Echosport: “It had gone to the wire because he had to be registered by midday today to be eligible for the game.
“We are really pleased that Yeovil are helping us and hopefully we can give Calvin some games. We need some cover at centre-half at the minute and Calvin fits the bill, he is a ball playing centre-half and it gives me some cover with our numbers a bit low.“
The defender could also line up against his brother Marvin, who plays for Poole Town, on Tuesday evening.
