NEW players are being sought for five teams at Harlequin & Weston Sports FC on Portland.
Formerly known as The Islanders under the guidance of Dave Golding, the founder of the Islanders Youth Club, they reformed under a new name after a couple of lean years.
Two sides played Dorset League football this season and now the club is looking to build on that success.
Players for under-7s, 8s, 9s, 10s and 11s teams are needed – currently in school Years One, Two, Three, Four and Five respectively.
The club’s aim is to make football accessible to all regardless of ability or experience and charge £1 per training session or game to ensure as many are able to take part as possible.
Last month the club entered three teams in the Stalbridge Tournament with the under-10s, playing together for the first time, finishing as runners-up.
