The image, snapped taken in the 1930s, shows a familiar sight to some. 

It's of a particularly beautiful Dorset village which today attracts people to its very popular pub.

It's the village of Sutton Poyntz near Weymouth! Well done if you guessed correctly. 

This picture was taken by Ernest Gordon, a photorgapher who took pictures across the south of England in the 1930s.

Ernest, who lived in south London, passed away in 1983. He was in accountancy but his hobby was amateur photography. He won a number of competitions.

He found places when he travelled with work and would come back with his wife and explore, hence the photos.
