A DAIRY has won a gold award for its organic sheep yoghurt.
Woodlands Dairy, which is based at Blandford, claimed the honour in the Great Taste Awards.
It received a gold star in the Luxury Plain Yoghurt category Sue Tweddell, right, co-owner of Woodlands Dairy, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been awarded a Gold Star in the Great Taste Awards 2010.
“We pride ourselves on the quality of our yoghurts, which in our opinion are the best in the world.
“It all starts with exceptional care and husbandry techniques at the dairy. We ensure we have happy sheep, eating the very best organic homegrown feed.
“Our yoghurt making techniques are kept simple; we use traditional hot-potting to create set style yoghurts that are smooth and slightly tangy to taste, delicious and also very good for you.”
Great Taste Award winners will celebrate at a ceremony in London on September 6.
