AN OPEN day aimed at helping visitors learn more about St Mary's Church, Dorchester will run until 3pm today. There will be a special parish Eucharist at the church at 9.45am tomorrow and a taizé service with the theme of peace and reconciliation at 6pm.
- A CREAM tea will be served next Saturday between 2pm and 4pm at the Radipole United Reformed Church, Weymouth. There will also be stalls selling home-made cakes, produce and plants. Proceeds from the event will go towards church funds.
- ST MARTIN'S Circle of Broadmayne village will visit Bennetts Water Gardens on Thursday departing from the village at 10am on a coach. The party plans to leave at 2.30pm. - A FLOWER festival entitled The church and village through the ages' will take place at St. Laurence's Church, Affpuddle from Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 8. Refreshments will be available each day. On Saturday, June 7 a jazz concert will begin in the church's peace garden at 7.30pm, performed by the Cavalier Jazz Band. - THE Weymouth One World Group will hold a coffee morning next Saturday (7) from 10am to 12pm at St Augustine's Church hall in the town. Entrance is 50p, including coffee and biscuits, and stalls will be selling bric-a-brac, home-made cakes and books among other things.
