- ONE thousand candles will light the way to St Catherine's Chapel, Abbotsbury at 7.30pm this evening for a remembrance service. It is one of the few services set to take place there this year.
- THE Wessex branch of the Royal School of Church Music, Wareham is inviting people to come and sing John Stainer's The Crucifixion at 6pm this evening. Performers will begin rehearsing at 2pm. Tickets for the show, taking place at Lady St Mary's Church in the town, will cost £5 each and are available on the door. For more details call 01929 551302.
- THE flower festival at St Nicholas Church, Moreton will continue until 5pm today and from 10am until 5pm tomorrow and Monday. There will also be a songs of praise service at 6pm tomorrow. There will also be refreshments and stalls. For more information call 01929 462468.
- BREAKFAST will be served in St Martin's community hall, Broadmayne after the village church's communion service, beginning at 8am tomorrow. Fruit salad, cereal, toast, tea and coffee will be served.

- NIGHT prayers will be said at St Nicholas Church, Weymouth from 7.30pm onwards on Wednesday.
- A COFFEE morning will begin in the vicarage garden of St Paul's Church, Abbotsbury Road, Weymouth at 10am next Saturday and end at around noon. Organisers say tea, coffee, cakes and more will be on sale in aid of church funds.
- NEXT Saturday at 7.30pm the Beaminster Gallery Quire will perform a summer concert of gallery favourites in St John the Baptist Church, Broadwindsor.
