CLOWNING and Christianity will be combined at a Pentecost party in Bridport tomorrow.
The Rev Roly Bain, also known as Roly the clown, will entertain people at Harbour Green, West Bay from 2.30pm to 6pm.
Top of the day's billing, which includes games, face-painting for the children, music and dance, will be a performance by Mr Bain.
Roly is a professional clown and an Anglican priest and has taken his show throughout Europe, the USA, Canada and Australia.
He said: "I've been a full-time clown for 25 years now - it's something I'd always wanted to do from a small boy.
"All my clowning, whether it's telling a story or entertaining people in some other way, has a Christian theme to it."
Roly added that he was ordained in 1978 and became interested in combining Christianity and clowning while training to be a priest.
He is based in Bristol and trained at the nearby Wookey Hole circus school.
The event in Bridport was organised by members of Churches Together in Bridport and district who would like to invite everyone to come and join in.
