A SHERBORNE school is delighted to announce the appointment of a new headteacher.
The Leweston School near Sherborne, has announced that Mrs Kate Reynolds will be the new head of Leweston from September 2015.
Mrs Reynolds takes over from Adrian Aylward who will be stepping down at the end of the academic year after nine years in the post.
Chairman of the governors, Mary Head, said: “We are delighted that we have been able to appoint Mrs Reynolds who has the vision, skills and qualities to take Leweston forward in the years ahead. Mrs Reynolds has known the Leweston community for some nine years and has a commitment to, understanding of and passion for the exceptional education the school provides.
“I look forward to seeing Leweston continue to flourish under her leadership.”
Mrs Reynolds, 47, has four children and her husband, Giles, is also a teacher.
She said: “I am honoured to be taking on the headship at Leweston. “The school is a very special community and I look forward to building on its reputation for educational excellence.”
