CHARITABLE pupils at Chickerell Academy have been putting Christmas gifts together for a shoebox appeal.
The school collected a total of 69 shoeboxes as part of the ‘Operation Christmas Child’ campaign by Samaritan’s Purse.
The boxes included items for school, toys, sweets, gloves, hats and some children included photos of their families as well as a Christmas card.
Most of the boxes will travel to underprivileged children living in Eastern Europe.
Teaching assistant Nathalie Carter said: “As a school, we very much enjoy taking part in this appeal as it encourages our pupils to think about children around the world who are not as fortunate as them, especially at Christmas.”
