A DORSET pre-school and nursery will be celebrating its 21st birthday this month.
Little Owls in Witchampton will be holding a family fun day to celebrate on Sunday July 20 from 12noon.
Previous pupils, staff and parents will attend the event.
As well as guests Peppa Pig and Buttons the Clown, the children will be able to meet the guests of honour, the owls and birds of prey from the local Liberty Owl and Raptor Centre who will be performing a flying display. Proceeds from the event will go to Little Owls Pre-School and Breast Cancer Care.
The pre-school is hoping to spread the word about its services and attract pupils from a wider area.
“Our small class sizes mean that all the children get a lot of individual attention,” said Jazmine Walker, who joined the pre-school as supervisor this year.
She added: “Being a small size pre-school means we have a different set of challenges but there are huge advantages to being in a small caring environment, particularly for younger children.”
The children frequently go out into the community on nature walks, to visit local farms and attractions as well as introductory days at Witchampton First School with which it has a strong working relationship.
