Margaret LeBreton, Graham Carter and Dave Jack are preparing to clear the undergrowth of wood, leaves and debris to allow the snowdrops to grow and be enjoyed by all who appreciate this reserve.
Radipole Wood is nurtured and managed by a small group of volunteers who meet on the first Saturday every month.
Some of their tools were purchased from their involvement in last year’s Weymouth Carnival.
A petrol strimmer is among the equipment used by the group, but they would like to become a larger group with more volunteers, so they are hoping that people will call round on Saturday morning 3rd November, have a chat and join in the fun. n A Song of Norway was the theme of David McCririck’s programme for Weymouth Classical Recorded Music Society.
The Society is held on the second Monday of the month, at the Acorns Day Centre, Grosvenor Road, Weymouth at 7.15 for 7.30 pm.
For further details contact Peter Foster, WCRMS Press Officer on 01305 262121 The sum of £311 was raised by Weymouth Trefoil Guild and the Mothers’ Union at the Macmillan coffee morning.
