Dorset Highways are putting in some temporary traffic cones at Chafeys roundabout in Weymouth to ease congestion at peak times.
A spokesman for Dorset County Council said: "Between 3-6pm cones will be in place along the right hand lane southbound on the Weymouth Way.
“Slowing southbound traffic will help ease congestion from building northbound traffic currently affecting Weymouth Way, Westham Junction and Kings Crossroads.
"The Dorset traffic control centre is constantly monitoring traffic flows through measures such as CCTV and road sensors. The cones were previously tested at Chafeys roundabout proving successful in reducing congestion."
