A 23-year-old walker from Dorset has fallen 300ft (91.4m) to his death on a mountain in Snowdonia.
It has been reported that the man, who has not been identified, was walking i9n miosty conditions mist with another 23-year-old man, also from Dorset, when he slipped and fell from a cliff face.
Local mountain rescue teams reached the men last night.
The casualty was airlifted to hospital at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, where he was confirmed to have died.
The incident was witnessed by two climbers in the area who alerted the emergency services.
