We went to Weymouth yesterday on the train. All the hype about traffic gridlock, packed trains, expensive food etc was a load of rubbish.
A sum of £10 each got us into the Bayside Festival. There was no queue, no one confiscating my bottle of water or my suntan lotion. There were loads of picnic benches to sit down on, and the food wasn’t a bad price.
We slipped out for a walk along the beach and town, then went back to watch two really good bands in the evening before catching the train home. Walking from the Pavilion we admired the splendid view of Weymouth bay at night.
Weymouth is actually really nice to visit at the moment.
