Weldmar Hospicecare Trust is holding a ladies-only Midnight Walk on August 18.
The walk starts at Weymouth College, Cranford Avenue. It is £16 for adults to enter and this includes a free T-shirt and other fun items for volunteers to wear.
Participants can choose from the bronze route, which will be five miles long, the silver route at six-and-a-half miles or the gold route, which is an impressive 13 miles. The gold route will start at 10pm with the other two starting at midnight.
Matt Smith from Weldmar Hospicecare Trust said this was their biggest event in the fundraising calendar. He added: “In tough economic times the more money we can raise the better to help us continue to provide free care.”
Weldmar Hospicecare Trust cares for patients with cancer and other progressive conditions, such as motor neurone disease. It offers day care, inpatient care and aim to improve patient’s quality of life.
The ladies-only walk has been successfully running for six years. Now the 13-mile walk has been added to the mix the hospice are also looking for husbands, boyfriends, sons and brothers to take part as marshals.
