Children of all ages embraced the Olympic spirit at the beach live site with a host of free sports.
Billy Chipperfield, eight, of Weymouth, tried a range of new sports in the afternoon.
He said: “I went water surfing, sailing, windsurfing, tag rugby and golf.
“It was really good fun and it was the first time I’ve tried water sports.”
Mum Karen said: “It’s really brilliant, a great opportunity and it’s all free.
“The instructors were really good, I couldn’t fault it.
“Billy was out there for hours, he had a great time.”
A team of young instructors were on hand to give children a taster of sports from canoeing to cricket.
Dave Corben, an instructor from Wool , said: “We’ve been teaching all sorts of sports – rugby, football, volleyball, cricket and watersports.
“We’re trying to get kids to do more sports and teach them new skills and doing our best to make sure they had a great time.”
