FAMILIES will be heading to the Marsh playing fields in Weymouth tomorrow for a fun day in aid of Help for Heroes.
It will take place between 10am and 5pm.
There will be 130 rides and stalls, live entertainment and much more.
The day is the idea of former soldier Michael McManus who is a big supporter of the charity for wounded servicemen and women.
Michael, 53, and his daughter Kayleigh, 24, have spent the last few months organizing the day for the third year running.
Mr McManus, who served in the Coldstream Guards based in Surrey, said: “It’s going to be a great day for all the family and we hope to raise a lot of money.”
A bumper line-up of entertainment is promised including dancers, musical acts and go-karts.
There will be a total of 14 live entertainment acts including Lady Gaga tribute act Leanne Lady Gaga Warne.
Mr McManus, of Weymouth, has been collecting money at the town’s Asda store and has organized a host of other fundraising events to raise money for Help for Heroes.
He added: “It is for a really good cause and it is the biggest fun day in Weymouth. We hope as many people come as possible.
Last year we raised around £1,795 and this time we would like to beat that.”
