FAMILIES flocked to enjoy a day of sun-soaked entertainment at Dorchester ’s award-winning Borough Gardens.
The town council organised the event to mark Love Parks Week and crowds packed the gardens to bask in the baking sunshine.
There was also plenty to keep people of all ages entertained with children’s activities such as a bouncy castle and a treasure hunt as well as a display of vintage vehicles.
The event also saw county town mayor Andy Canning hoist the Green Flag, which had been awarded to the gardens for the fifth year in a row to recognises its place among the best green spaces in the country. Town council compliance manager Peter Mullins said: “We are very pleased with the turn out.”
