EMERGENCY services searching for a woman after the Burton Bradstock landslide have found a body.
Police said the body was recovered at 9.40pm tonight. It is believed to be that of a woman reported missing after a massive landslide onto the beach.
A 22-year-old woman was buried under tonnes of rubble following cliff falls at Burton Bradstock close to Freshwater Beach Holiday Park.
Rescuers had been working since this afternoon and were remaining hopeful the woman would be found alive.
But the grim news came tonight that a body had been found.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "Next of kin are aware and family liaison officers are supporting the family. The coroner has been informed.
"At this time there are no further reports of missing people at the location and the search operation will now be stood down.
"It is believed the incident was a tragic accident and our thoughts are with the family of the victim at this very difficult time."
