EYEWITNESSES have told of the landslide horror at Burton Bradstock where a person is missing.
Rescuers are searching through more than 100 tonnes of rubble which collapsed at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park.
People escaped from the beach as the cliff came down but it is understood one person was trapped underneath.
Dozens of emergency service personnel are at the scene.
They were alerted at just after 12.30pm today.
Kayaker Dave Warren saw the cliff start to crumble and warned people to get off the beach. He said he saw a series of falls before a massive amount of earth and rocks came loose.
Steph Chamney, 17, from Bridport, who was visiting the beach with a friend said: “We were coming down the beach and we saw it all happen. We heard the coastguard behind us saying there more than a 100 tonnes of rubble had come down and they are trying to look for people trapped. We saw a boy wrapped up in a foil sheet."
