It’s wonderful to have something good to say about a new build in Weymouth and Portland .
I visited the new Chesil Beach Centre yesterday and was blown away by the really great atmosphere, the exhibitions, which I understand are temporary and will change over time, the happy volunteers, the decor, the decking, and the bridge over the water to the bank.
It was excellent, a real tribute to all those who have worked so hard to make it happen. Thank you.
Good thing too, that there was a barbecue outside – quality at affordable prices as the resturaunt is so expensive.
Pity that there were so many police around, all tooled up and showing us their tazers and guns.
I followed five police cars over the causeway and saw three coming in the opposite direction.
A couple were even standing cradling their guns on the pavement in Victoria Square.
A show of force? To what end?
To appease the corporate sponsors or to show off their hardware?
And the waste of money on the empty WKF buses going around the circuits – especially with diesel being so expensive. Oh yes, and isn’t there supposed to be a peak oil problem around?
