NEIGHBOURS said that the murdered woman had been ‘a nice lady.’ One neighbour, who asked not to be named, said: “She was very quiet and kept herself to herself, but she was a nice lady. I would know her to say hello to but not much about her life.”
Another added: “She was a nice lady. It’s a terrible thing to have happened.”
It is believed the woman was originally from Doncaster and had moved to the area a few years ago.
Residents tied flowers to the railings outside the flats in tribute.
Fiveways Court is separated in to two blocks – numbers one to 19 and 20 to 28.
The serious incident is alleged to have taken place in flat 23 on the first floor of the three-storey building overlooking Benville Road. Ward councillor Gill Taylor said: “My sympathies go out to the family.”
