A WEYMOUTH cyclist found unconscious in the town has been seriously injured.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a 41-year-old man was discovered on the path under the footbridge at the Jurassic Roundabout.
He was found next to his bicycle at around 3.30am on Thursday morning and taken to Dorset County Hospital.
Police Constable Jon Ash, of Weymouth road traffic police, said: “At this time we cannot ascertain what has happened.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen any sort of incident in which this man may have suffered his injuries.
“In particular we would like to speak to anyone who may have seen this man riding his bicycle prior to the incident.”
Anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
