I have just got back from a walk along the seafront harbourside and town.

It’s 8pm on a Saturday night, two weeks before the Olympics and what do I find? Absolutely nothing. No events, enthusiasm, interest or even people.

How about we do the unthinkable and admit that this is a joke, perpetrated by time serving politicians and people who hope to gain financially from this farce.

I for one wish that they were somewhere else as this is embarrassing.
