A 35-year-old man was stabbed in an attack in Walton Elm, Marnhull, police said.
The Salisbury man sustained a single stab wound to the stomach but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
He had been making deliveries in a lorry when he pulled into a lay-by on the B3092 before he was subject to an unprovoked attack.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following the incident in which an unknown offender attacked the lorry driver just after 10am on Monday.
No description of the offender is available.
