Dorchester Town Council will celebrate national Love Parks Week at the Borough Gardens with a free family event on Wednesday, July 25.
People are invited to bring a picnic and enjoy the fun-filled event, which runs from 10.30am to 4pm.
There will be plenty of entertainment for youngsters including mini-traction engine rides, a bouncy castle, face painting, free putting, a children’s art and model-making workshop and a treasure hunt.
There will also be an art display and Dorset cream teas in the Borough Gardens House, vintage motorcycle displays, Dorset Police and Fire and Rescue Service activities.
Town Clerk Dennis Holmes said: “The Borough Gardens have always been popular with people from Dorchester and the surrounding area, but have gone from strength to strength since the refurbishment.”
