THE JUBILEE celebrations are set to continue in the Piddle Valley with a special concert at All Saints Church in Piddletrenthide.
Renowned opera singer and local resident John Hudston will be performing as will the Dorset Male Voice Choir at the Jubilee Concert nicknamed ‘Here Come The Boys’ on Saturday, July 14 at 7.30pm.
The concert follows on from a successful Last Night of the Proms-style event in the village to raise funds for local charities.
Good causes that will benefit this time round include the Ducks and Drakes Trust, which promotes awareness of bowel cancer in young people as well as Piddle Valley First School, the Memorial Hall and All Saints Church.
Tickets cost £10 including canapés and can be bought from Piddletrenthide Post Office or by calling Janet Keen on 01300 348851 or Sue Beckingham on 01300 348865.
